I found some interesting comments in an interview that Newsmax.com had with Dinesh D’Souza who co-directed a recent documentary, “2016: Obama’s America.” What intrigued me the most was D’Souza’s remarks in regard to Obama, Russia, and the Middle East.
From what he shares, I believe the next 4 years may well set the stage for prophetic fulfillment and the role President Obama and the US could inadvertently play in bringing it about. At the same time, due to Obama’s ideology and the alleged aim according to D’Souza to “shrink America,” America’s role as a superpower will diminish, which explains why America is left out of the prophetic picture in end times.
I believe this could be God’s way of forcing Israel to rely totally on him rather than the US, if the US is less dependable and weakened. Just the idea that Obama may be willing to compromise with Russia on missile defense, as some fear, ought to be an indication of where we’re heading. Russia, China, are mentioned in prophecy (See Ezekiel 38; Revelation 16:12-16.); the US isn’t. Could the US be selling out to these nations, which explains why the Bible refers to them, and not specifically to the US?
In Luke 21:31, Jesus said, “So you, likewise, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near.” (New King James Version, NKJV, Thomas Nelson, Pub., Copyright 1979, 1980, 1982 by Thomas Nelson, Inc., Nashville.) “These things” Jesus is referring to applies directly to Israel in the days just before his second coming. The events in the Middle East are signs of the nearness of his coming. These signs include the gathering of the nations of the world against Jerusalem at the end of the age before Jesus returns to bring in the Kingdom age. (See Joel 3:1-3.)
As we witness these signs taking place, our faith is renewed knowing that Jesus will come soon to deliver us from the evil of the world and fulfill the precious promises we so eagerly anticipate when his Kingdom comes. Jesus said, “When these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near,” (Luke 21:28, NKJV).
Good News to You!
By the way, I highly recommend viewing the ‘2016’ movie for anyone who hasn’t seen it yet. To me, it could help us see how the pieces of the prophetic puzzle could fall into place as the signs of the times point to the nearness of the Lord’s coming.
